Privacy Notice

This privacy notice has been created to make sure you have a good understanding of what personal information Bissell Wood Estate Limited, the Bissell Wood Estate Equestrian Centre and their representatives (‘we’) process in relation to you, why we process it, what we do with it and your rights.

Personal information is information about you that will allow someone to identify you. For instance your name and address are considered personal information.

Why do we collect personal information

We need to collect and keep your personal information so that we can (i) enter into an agreement with you, (ii) contact you in respect of matters relating to: the rental of your stable and grazing areas, the livery of your horse(s) and/or (iii) contact you in relation to your use of the Bissell Wood Estate facilities (e.g. the cross country courses).

What personal information we collect

We will collect and keep your name, address, phone number, email address, emergency contact details and details of your veterinary surgeon and farrier. We may also collect your age/date of birth and any medical conditions you wish to disclose to us.

Passing on your personal information to others

We will not sell your personal information to anyone else.

We may pass on your personal information to veterinary surgeons, farriers, our insurance company and to authorities to comply with laws and regulations.

Use of Close Circuit Television (CCTV)

We use CCTV for safety and security purposes. Areas covered by CCTV are clearly marked. We use the CCTV footage to resolve any safety or security matters or where required to resolve any disputes. We may be required by law enforcement and other authorities to hand over CCTV footage in accordance with law and regulation.

How long do we keep your personal information?

We will keep your personal information for as long as we have an agreement in place for you to use our stables, grazing areas and facilities. When you no longer use our services and there are no outstanding bills to settle or any other outstanding matter to settle we will archive your personal information until the relevant statute of limitation expires. If we have any legal obligation to keep your information for longer we will be obliged to do so.

How to access your personal information we hold

We keep your personal information on paper files in locked areas here in the UK. CCTV footage is also kept secured in locked areas and kept on a digital storage device. Rights to make changes or request deletion

You always have the right to request us to make changes to any information about you that is not correct. You also have the right to ask us to delete your information. If you ask us to delete information about you this may impact the ability for us to provide our services and may therefore lead to termination of the agreement.

Marketing

We will not send you any marketing material unless you have given us your explicit consent.

Opt out of Marketing

If you receive marketing material (including newsletters, event information etc.) because you have provided your consent, you can withdraw such consent at any time by simply email us (Neville Cope) at neville@bissellwood-equestrian.co.uk.
